Maysville Area Chamber of Commerce Announces Annual Awards Nomination Window Opening

The Maysville Area Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce the opening of the nomination window for its highly anticipated Annual Awards. These prestigious awards celebrate outstanding individuals and businesses that have made significant contributions to the Maysville-Mason County community. The nomination period begins Monday, July 31, and will run until Friday, August 4, giving community members the opportunity to recognize and honor those who have made a positive impact on our area. Winners for each category will be determined by the total scores from two panel reviews and online voting from the community. Winners will be announced at our Annual Dinner on September 14.

The categories for this year’s Annual Awards Dinner are as follows:

New Business of the Year:

This award recognizes a local business that has been in operation for more than one but fewer than five years. Nominees in this category must demonstrate financial sustainability and the potential for scalable growth.

Small Business of the Year:

Nominees in this category should include businesses with fewer than 50 employees that have exhibited outstanding leadership, business acumen, and professionalism within our community.

Large Business of the Year:

Businesses with fewer than 50 employees will be eligible for this award. Nominees must have demonstrated exceptional leadership, business acumen, and professionalism in the Maysville-Mason County area.

Non-Profit of the Year:

To qualify for this award, organizations must be recognized as tax-exempt and designated as a public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the IRS code. Nominees should distinguish themselves through excellence in their mission, meeting a defined public need, providing outstanding service to constituents and the community, and demonstrating good stewardship of donor dollars and sound business practices.

Chamber Champion Award:

This award recognizes a Chamber Member or volunteer who has shown extraordinary enthusiasm for the organization through volunteerism and active participation in Chamber activities and/or committees. Nominees in this category also act as notable positive ambassadors for the Chamber through their interactions with the public and fellow members.

Educator of the Year:

This award celebrates an exceptional educator who has made significant contributions to the community through their work. Nominees should demonstrate a commitment to the Maysville-Mason County area through definable, exceptional efforts and serve as a role model to others.

Citizen of the Year:

Nominees for this award should be individuals who have positively impacted the community through their volunteer efforts and exceptional contributions to the Maysville-Mason County area. They embody the spirit of service and are role models for fellow citizens.
