During class discussions, we kept hearing the same needs echoed across our community. That made the direction of our project clear.

• Buffalo Trace Homeless Coalition

These needs are real and ongoing and while this project helps shine a light on them, it takes all of us showing up to truly make an impact.

Danny Weddle named chair of the Chamber Board

The Maysville Area Chamber of Commerce has named Danny Weddle

its board chair.

The board made the decision in November when it met to review the successes of 2025 and discuss plans for 2026.

The board unanimously voted to appoint Weddle to lead the organization for the next 2 years.

Weddle is a graduate of Mason County High School and Columbia School of

Broadcasting.

Retired sports play-by-play announcer after 40 years at WFTM radio.

A member of the 10th Region Hall of Fame and the Mason County Alumni

Association.

Received the Coach Bob Miller Outstanding Service Award from the

Kentucky High School Coaches Association in 2018, the J.T. Whitlock Life

Service Award from the Kentucky Broadcasters Association in 2018 and the

Chamber Champion Award in 2022 and 2024.

Currently a real estate assistant for Kachler Real Estate Services, a

tour guide for the City of Maysville and host of a podcast,

“Conversations with Danny Weddle”.

Author of two books, “How We Play the Game: A History of High School

Hoops in Mason County” and “Talking Sports and More.”

A partner at CrossPoint Community Church.

Danny and his wife, Glenda, have three daughters and four grandchildren.

Maysville Area Chamber of Commerce Receives Excellence in Printed Publication Award from KCCE

Maysville, KY – The Maysville-Mason County Area Chamber of Commerce was honored last night with the Excellence in Printed Publication Award from the Kentucky Chamber of
Commerce Executives (KCCE). The recognition highlights the Chamber’s 2024 Annual Report, an initiative launched in 2022 by outgoing Executive Director Kaci Foster to showcase the Chamber’s work and impact each year.

The award adds to a strong run of statewide recognition for the Maysville Area Chamber. Starting in 2020, the Chamber has been recognized annually by KCCE for excellence in areas such as civic engagement, events, and now printed publication. This ongoing recognition underscores the Chamber’s commitment to maintaining a high standard of service and leadership for its partners and community.

“Our Chamber is proud to once again be recognized among the best in Kentucky,” said Rod Baker, Chair of the Chamber’s Board of Directors. “This award reflects the high standard we set for ourselves and the incredible work being done in Maysville and Mason County. It’s a testament to the dedication of our staff, board, and partners who ensure our Chamber continues to lead by example.”

The Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Executives (KCCE) is the statewide professional society for local chambers of commerce, providing education, leadership development, and support to chamber professionals and organizations throughout Kentucky. Through its annual awards program, KCCE celebrates excellence, innovation, and best practices among chambers of all sizes.

Maysville-Mason County Area Chamber of Commerce Names Shea Bisotti as New Executive Director

Maysville, KY – The Maysville Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Shea Bisotti has been selected as its next Executive Director. She will officially begin her role on September 8, 2025.

Bisotti brings more than a decade of experience in business development, customer service, and organizational leadership. Her professional background includes team management, small business ownership, and community engagement, all of which have prepared her to guide the Chamber in supporting local businesses and advancing regional growth.

“I’m excited to see the next chapter of the Maysville Area Chamber of Commerce come to fruition under Shea’s leadership,” said Rod Baker, Chair of the Chamber’s Board of Directors. “Her excitement and enthusiasm in becoming our next Executive Director is contagious. I’m confident that she will build on the excellent foundation that’s been built by Kaci and take us to the next level.”

Bisotti expressed her enthusiasm for the opportunity, saying, “I am deeply honored to step into the role of Executive Director, and excited to work alongside so many passionate and dedicated community leaders and small business owners. Together, we will continue to strengthen our local businesses, foster growth, and create new opportunities for everyone. The future is bright, and I’m thrilled to be part of this incredible journey.”

A lifelong resident of the region, Bisotti and her husband, Andy—Principal at Bracken County High School—will celebrate their eighth wedding anniversary this November. Together, they have a blended family of three boys and one girl. Guided by one of her favorite quotes from influencer Jay Danzie, she lives by the belief that: “Your smile is your logo, your personality is your business card, how you leave others feeling after having an experience with you becomes your trademark.”

Bisotti will succeed outgoing Executive Director Kaci Foster, who has served in the role since 2020.

Maysville Area Chamber Announces 2025 Annual Awards Dinner: “80s Rewind”

Nominations open August 11 for annual business and community awards

The Maysville-Mason County Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce its 2025 Annual Awards Dinner, set for Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at the Cox Building in downtown Maysville. This year’s theme, “80s Rewind: A Throwback Celebration of Business Excellence,” promises a vibrant, fun-filled evening celebrating the spirit of the 1980s and the incredible contributions of local businesses and community leaders.

The Annual Awards Dinner is the Chamber’s signature event, drawing partners, leaders, and supporters together for a night of networking, recognition, cocktails, dinner, the always-popular Dessert Dash fundraiser, and a celebration of progress and partnership.

2025 Award Categories

The Chamber will recognize outstanding contributions in the following categories:

Kaci Foster to Transition from Chamber Executive Director Role

The Maysville-Mason County Area Chamber of Commerce announces that Executive Director Kaci Foster will step down at the end of July to begin a new opportunity with Shawnee State University.

Foster began serving as Executive Director in 2020, stepping into the role during the COVID-19 pandemic. She has led the Chamber through a season of challenge and growth, helping local businesses navigate uncertainty while building a stronger, more connected network of partners.

“This opportunity is one I’ve spent a lot of time praying about,” said Foster. “It feels like this is the natural next step in the path I’ve been on. It’s a chance to keep serving this region in a new and meaningful way, while carrying forward all I’ve learned from my time at the Chamber.”

During her tenure, the Chamber has seen record-breaking partner growth, expanded sponsorships, and increased engagement across the board. She launched the region’s first and only Women’s Leadership Summit, elevated the Chamber’s voice at the state level, and led the organization to receive statewide Excellence in Civic Engagement honors each year, along with recognition for event programming and leadership.

In 2024, Foster was named the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Executives (KCCE) Young Professional of the Year, recognizing her leadership and dedication to the business community.

“Kaci’s leadership has been instrumental in the growth and vision of the Maysville Area Chamber of Commerce. Her commitment and dedication for the past 5 years are evident in the influence the Chamber has garnished locally as well as around the state. Under her guidance, the Chamber has grown in influence, collaboration, and service to the local business community. The foundation that she’s built will continue to shape the future of the organization and we wish her continued success in her future endeavors” said Chamber Board Chairman Rod Baker.

“This Chamber has been one of the greatest gifts of my professional life,” Foster said. “We’ve built something I’m really proud of: momentum, trust, and connection. I’ll always be grateful for the opportunity to lead and grow in this role.”

Foster will remain involved in an advisory role through the Chamber’s Annual Awards Dinner this fall to support the transition, guide key projects, and assist in onboarding the next Executive Director.

4th Annual Women’s Leadership Summit Welcomes 200 Attendees for a Day of Connection, Inspiration, and Growth

The Maysville Area Chamber of Commerce proudly hosted its 4th Annual Women’s Leadership Summit on Tuesday, March 26, welcoming 200 women from across the region for a powerful day centered on storytelling, growth, and connection.

Guided by this year’s theme, “Pages of Possibility,” the summit invited participants to reflect on the stories that have shaped their personal and professional lives—while embracing the unwritten chapters still ahead. The day featured a dynamic mix of panel discussions, intentional conversations, and thought-provoking keynotes, each designed to spark reflection, fuel ambition, and celebrate the power of women leading with authenticity and purpose.

All featured speakers were remarkable local women who brought deep insight, lived experience, and powerful storytelling to the stage. Their voices and perspectives sparked meaningful dialogue and reminded attendees that leadership takes many forms—and all of them matter.

“The Women’s Leadership Summit continues to be one of the most impactful events we host each year,” said Kaci Foster, Executive Director of the Maysville Area Chamber of Commerce. “To see so many women come together to learn from each other, uplift one another, and walk away with renewed energy—it’s something really special.”

Rod Baker, Chair of the Chamber’s Board of Directors, also praised the event: “This summit is a testament to the strength and potential of women across our region. It’s not only an investment in individual growth—it’s an investment in the future of our communities and businesses. We’re proud to support it.”

The Chamber extends sincere thanks to CrossPoint Church for generously providing a welcoming and modern venue for the event, and to the many sponsors who made the day possible. Bank of Maysville, Glitter Me Pink, Boutique, and The Ledger Independent sponsored the morning breakfast, while Kim’s Southern Table, Pathways Financial Credit Union, and Peoples Bank of Kentucky supported lunch. An afternoon pick-me-up was provided by First State Bank, with G&J Pepsi ensuring attendees stayed hydrated throughout the day.
