Yesterday’s Lunch & Learn hosted at the Mason County Public Library featured Regional Director Cassie Hunt and Assistant Regional Director Heather Hopkins with Lifeline Homecare, and they truly “broke it down” for us in the best way.Lifeline Homecare is a family-owned provider offering non-medical in-home support services across north and northeastern Kentucky, helping individuals, especially older adults remain safely and comfortably in their own homes with the support they need. They shared how aging at home can enhance quality of life by preserving independence, dignity, and routine, while still ensuring the right level of care is in place. Their person-centered approach is built around Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, meals, mobility, toileting, homemaking, transportation, companionship, and respite support. We also learned more about the wide range of specialized services they provide, including Alzheimer’s and dementia care, veterans services, respite care for family caregivers, and transportation assistance. Their team is also connected with VA programs such as Homemaker and Home Health Aide services, Aid & Attendance, and Veteran-Directed Care. Helping ensure veterans and their families can access the support they’ve earned. Both Cassie and Heather shared that they joined Lifeline Homecare in October and have a strong respect for the work the organization does and the families they serve. Cassie also shared a very personal perspective, reflecting on her own experience caring for her father and how meaningful it is to now be part of a company that provides the kind of support she once wished she had. It’s always valuable when we get to highlight resources like this in our region. Organizations that quietly make a big impact by helping families keep their loved ones at home, supported, and cared for.Lifeline Homecare is here in our community and ready to help families explore options for keeping loved ones at home with the right support in place. If you know someone who could benefit from their services, or if you’re looking for support for a loved one, they would love to help you get set up. Give them a call at 606-759-0060.Thank you again to Cassie and Heather with Lifeline Homecare for sharing your time and expertise with us! ... See MoreSee Less
