Class of 25/26 Leadership Horizons Class Project

Leadership Horizons 25/26 Class Project is Underway

During class discussions, we kept hearing the same needs echoed across our community. That made the direction of our project clear.

We are working to fill cabinets and closets for:
• The Ion Center for Violence Prevention
• Buffalo Trace CASA
• Buffalo Trace Homeless Coalition

These needs are real and ongoing and while this project helps shine a light on them, it takes all of us showing up to truly make an impact.

We are asking for NEW

  • Sheets(any size)
  • Pillow Cases
  • Comforter/Quilt/Blanket(any size)
  • Towels/washcloths
  • Deodorant
  • Feminine Products
  • Toothbrush/toothpaste
  • Floss/Mouthwash
  • Shampoo/conditioner
  • Body wash/bar soap

Maysville Area Chamber of Commerce Announces Danny Weddle as New Chamber Chair

Danny Weddle named chair of the Chamber Board

The Maysville Area Chamber of Commerce has named Danny Weddle

its board chair.

The board made the decision in November when it met to review the successes of 2025 and discuss plans for 2026.

The board unanimously voted to appoint Weddle to lead the organization for the next 2 years.

Weddle is a graduate of Mason County High School and Columbia School of

Broadcasting.

Retired sports play-by-play announcer after 40 years at WFTM radio.

A member of the 10th Region Hall of Fame and the Mason County Alumni

Association.

Received the Coach Bob Miller Outstanding Service Award from the

Kentucky High School Coaches Association in 2018, the J.T. Whitlock Life

Service Award from the Kentucky Broadcasters Association in 2018 and the

Chamber Champion Award in 2022 and 2024.

Currently a real estate assistant for Kachler Real Estate Services, a

tour guide for the City of Maysville and host of a podcast,

“Conversations with Danny Weddle”.

Author of two books, “How We Play the Game: A History of High School

Hoops in Mason County” and “Talking Sports and More.”

A partner at CrossPoint Community Church.

Danny and his wife, Glenda, have three daughters and four grandchildren.

Maysville Area Chamber of Commerce Receives Excellence in Printed Publication Award from KCCE

Maysville, KY – The Maysville-Mason County Area Chamber of Commerce was honored last night with the Excellence in Printed Publication Award from the Kentucky Chamber of
Commerce Executives (KCCE). The recognition highlights the Chamber’s 2024 Annual Report, an initiative launched in 2022 by outgoing Executive Director Kaci Foster to showcase the Chamber’s work and impact each year.

The award adds to a strong run of statewide recognition for the Maysville Area Chamber. Starting in 2020, the Chamber has been recognized annually by KCCE for excellence in areas such as civic engagement, events, and now printed publication. This ongoing recognition underscores the Chamber’s commitment to maintaining a high standard of service and leadership for its partners and community.

“Our Chamber is proud to once again be recognized among the best in Kentucky,” said Rod Baker, Chair of the Chamber’s Board of Directors. “This award reflects the high standard we set for ourselves and the incredible work being done in Maysville and Mason County. It’s a testament to the dedication of our staff, board, and partners who ensure our Chamber continues to lead by example.”

The Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Executives (KCCE) is the statewide professional society for local chambers of commerce, providing education, leadership development, and support to chamber professionals and organizations throughout Kentucky. Through its annual awards program, KCCE celebrates excellence, innovation, and best practices among chambers of all sizes.

Maysville-Mason County Area Chamber of Commerce Names Shea Bisotti as New Executive Director

Maysville, KY – The Maysville Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Shea Bisotti has been selected as its next Executive Director. She will officially begin her role on September 8, 2025.

Bisotti brings more than a decade of experience in business development, customer service, and organizational leadership. Her professional background includes team management, small business ownership, and community engagement, all of which have prepared her to guide the Chamber in supporting local businesses and advancing regional growth.

“I’m excited to see the next chapter of the Maysville Area Chamber of Commerce come to fruition under Shea’s leadership,” said Rod Baker, Chair of the Chamber’s Board of Directors. “Her excitement and enthusiasm in becoming our next Executive Director is contagious. I’m confident that she will build on the excellent foundation that’s been built by Kaci and take us to the next level.”

Bisotti expressed her enthusiasm for the opportunity, saying, “I am deeply honored to step into the role of Executive Director, and excited to work alongside so many passionate and dedicated community leaders and small business owners. Together, we will continue to strengthen our local businesses, foster growth, and create new opportunities for everyone. The future is bright, and I’m thrilled to be part of this incredible journey.”

A lifelong resident of the region, Bisotti and her husband, Andy—Principal at Bracken County High School—will celebrate their eighth wedding anniversary this November. Together, they have a blended family of three boys and one girl. Guided by one of her favorite quotes from influencer Jay Danzie, she lives by the belief that: “Your smile is your logo, your personality is your business card, how you leave others feeling after having an experience with you becomes your trademark.”

Bisotti will succeed outgoing Executive Director Kaci Foster, who has served in the role since 2020.

The Maysville Area Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce that nominations are now open for our 2025 Annual Awards! Each year, we shine a spotlight on the outstanding businesses, organizations, and individuals who make our community stronger, and we need your help to recognize them.

This year’s celebration takes us Back to the ’80s for a totally rad night of recognition and fun. We’ll rewind the clock to October 1985, complete with themed décor, attire, music, and a celebration of the businesses that helped shape our community—then and now.

Maysville Area Chamber Announces 2025 Annual Awards Dinner: “80s Rewind”

Nominations open August 11 for annual business and community awards

The Maysville-Mason County Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce its 2025 Annual Awards Dinner, set for Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at the Cox Building in downtown Maysville. This year’s theme, “80s Rewind: A Throwback Celebration of Business Excellence,” promises a vibrant, fun-filled evening celebrating the spirit of the 1980s and the incredible contributions of local businesses and community leaders.

The Annual Awards Dinner is the Chamber’s signature event, drawing partners, leaders, and supporters together for a night of networking, recognition, cocktails, dinner, the always-popular Dessert Dash fundraiser, and a celebration of progress and partnership.

2025 Award Categories

The Chamber will recognize outstanding contributions in the following categories:

  • New Business of the Year
  • Small Business of the Year
  • Large Business of the Year
  • Non-Profit of the Year
  • Educator of the Year
